The new year began with the announcement of a new name and expanded services for one area company.

Dunkirk-based ATS Sureway New York Inc. has integrated its transportation services with its warehousing and distribution and real estate acquisitions to form Lorenzo International Inc.

"As we continue to expand and enhance our operation, the time has come to combine all of our companies under one name to better reflect the diversity of our firm," said company Vice President Greg Lorenzo.

"This change offers us an opportunity to reintroduce our company and the full range of services we provide such as ground and air transportation, temporary and long-term storage and distribution and real estate services which include residential and commercial leasing and acquisitions."

Lorenzo International Inc., located in the Lorenzo Professional Building at 314 Central Ave. in Dunkirk, provides complete transportation services to a wide range of manufacturing and distribution companies across the United States, Canada and Mexico.

By assuming the responsibility of transporting goods, from dry van and refrigerated full truckloads to partial and expedited shipments, Lorenzo International Inc. enables manufacturers and distributors to concentrate on their core competency and remain competitive in their market.

"As we shed the Sureway name we also leave behind the image that we´re ´just another trucking company,´" added Sales Manager Jim Starck. "With our full service distribution operation, real estate services and interactive Web site technology, Lorenzo International Inc. is far more than just another trucking company. Moreover the implementation of the warehousing and distribution divisions means the company can now service shipments even further along the supply chain."

Lorenzo International Inc. will continue to provide the same quality transportation service to their customers have come to rely on over the last decade as they more actively market the other services they provide. Lorenzo noted there is no change in their MC number, federal ID number or address as this is simply a change in the name to reflect the expansion of services.

"We're all very excited about this change and we're looking forward to a record-breaking year in our business," said Lorenzo.
